Creepy Colin Firth Time

Today was the Oscars aka The 83rd Academy Awards. My very last blog post was last year about the Oscars, so it's fitting that I express my current thoughts today...

It had it's moments, but it was so slow paced it just bored me in general.

I LOVE Anne Hathaway and James Franco. BUT (big butt) together they had little or no chemistry. Anne felt more like a Hollywood Star groupie as she giggled and howled at the guests like an ape and Franco didn't look interested at all. It appears he may have been chilling in a different type of "green room" all night.

Maybe I'm just cranky today? I respect them both but I think one host is better than two.

SOME HIGHLIGHTS of the evening:
- Luke Matheny, director of God of Love, fro joke and cute speech.
- Christian Bale on the verge of spewing acid man tears.
- Celine Dion made me Smile (I heart that song)
- Autotune the Oscars guiltily made me laugh.
- Cate Blanchett saying gross.
- Kirk Douglas. Old people who don't give a shiz, rock.

Dear Colin Firth,

Congrats on your Best Actor win tonight. I've loved you since Love Actually (a favourite movie of mine). You're a real good actor and you come across as a very genuine humble person. I will always follow your career and I'm still open to being your mistress.

Signed with Love,

THE VERDICT: ZZzzZzzZzz. See you next year.

Good night beautiful people.

Gosh, it's really me...Jasmine

Watching the Oscars, as I always do.

My current thoughts:

- I would do anything to be Colin Firth's wife. Anything.

- If Firth doesn't want me, then hopefully Ben Stiller will.

- Someone give Maggie Gyllenhaal an Oscar. She's more than a skinny bitch.

- Demi Moore looked amazing. Best dressed...until you see her knees. What? I like to laugh at people who can't accept their age.

- A Razzie to this. Sandra Bullock is a class act.

- Avatar Who? Whatever, Jim is laughing to the bank.

- John Hughes forever. Sofa-King forever.

I can't believe I haven't updated here in almost a year! I can't really apologize because my life has been crazy. Been running around like a headless chicken with a headache. But I'm glad to be alive. No more complaining. This will be my year.

By the way, I got a new job!!! Which I love, because I'm learning. I went through intense training all week. Very draining, but I'm on my way to something great. I feel it.

In the words of Shania Twain...I feel like a woman ahaha

Anyways, I've missed you all but know I always think about you. You're in my heart and I hope you're living your dreams.

Keep well.
xxox Jasmine

Best Worst Movie but Best Worth the While Time.

Approximately 12 hours ago I said I was going to Blog about my adventures last night. Yeah, I suck. I got busy between relatives over for a BBQ dinner (yum!) and playing online poker, and no, I did not gamble with real money because that would just be stupid. Mostly since I suck at that too and would be left even more poorer than I already am. I digress.

Soooo, last night, I went to the Toronto Premiere of the film, Best Worst Movie, at the HotDocs Film Festival. The film is about one of the worst considered films ever made, Troll 2, and it is amazingly done. It's hilariously funny, heart felt and sad at parts. I love when a film constantly plays with my emotions. Also, if you don't know, Youtube's own, K80Blog had a MAJOR part in creating this film. I am so proud of her! Seeing her and a great film in one was a bonus.

I honestly cannot believe I've been blessed with the opportunity to see her again. The last time was at the 888 Youtube Gathering last year. I remember telling her then, "this will probably be the last time I ever see you", and she gave me a "shut up hoe, that ain't true look". HAHA I don't know why I said that in a ghetto-speech tone, but the moral of the story is: KATIE IS ALWAYS RIGHT. Believe it.

I also can't believe I saw another youtuber again!!! I can't get over it. As you can see, Jipsi is in the picture making a dumb face, and is/was a youtuber, but he doesn't count anymore since we're more "in real life" friends now.

Anyways, I'm babbling like crazy. Just watch her film if you can and never ever buy over-priced $15 nachos. Don't they cost 2 dollars to make?! We had went to a bar type restaurant before the film and I wasted my money. What you see here is uneaten and left for the street rats :D Meh, I really don't care so much because I hung out with Katie! That makes up for everything blah-in-this-world.

Thinking about last night is making me so happy I'd love to scream! AH.

In this moment I am grateful for all the wonderful people there are in the world. If you read this through, you are wonderful too and very patient. Thank you <3

Egoistically All about MEME

So yesterday, out of boredom and curiosity I tweeted morphed versions of my face HERE

Here are a few more I made after:

a REAL Asian.

Ape-shit sexy.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, especially for the last one. If you want to try your own go to

Also today, through the lovely Johnny Durham I did this MEME (literally) mosaic.

Because I'm a lazy douche I'll just copy & paste the directions Johnny wrote:

- Go to Google image search.
- Type in your answer to each question.
- Choose a picture from the first page.
- Use this website ( to make your collage.

1. What is your name?
2. What is your favorite food?
3. What is your hometown?
4. What is your favorite color?
5. What is your favorite movie?
6. What is your favorite drink?
7. What is your dream vacation?
8. What is your favorite dessert?
9. What is one word to describe yourself?
10. How are you feeling right now?
11. What do you love most in the world?
12. What do you want to be when you grow up?

I have to say, there's nothing better to do on the Internet then waste time exploring questions we would not bother to think about on a daily basis, like, "I wonder what I'd look like as a Black (I mean Afro-Caribbean) person?" :p

Well that was fun...
...and fun rhymes with sun and I've been enjoying the lovely weather. I hope you are too. Take care everyone.

Passing ghosts.

I was digging through Facebook for the first time in 2 years. So many emails, so many passed opportunities at parties and get togethers with the people I once loved so much.

I saw this photo of my friend David and got sad because we were nerds. Nerds together (with our friends) with sexy tech talk and drinking green tea instead of alcohol hahaha I was always jealous of his cameras! But he's the hardest working man I know, so he deserves it all.

I look at these photos and have completely forgotten my OLD self. The extremely outgoing girl who was out and never home.

It's strange seeing people I grew up with now, still hanging together, getting married, having babies...just having a good time growing older.

I NEED this old self back.
I want to wipe clean the last few years and just move on.

While rummaging through old FB messages I found this:

haha I was spotted.
You never know who's watching,
& apparently I was watching my life pass by, forgetting about the foundations of what made me who I am today.

I'm tired of the Internet.
(and how I use it)
I miss my family & friends.

I know it may seem like I'm depressed but I'm not.
I'm in a state I can't explain.
Like a caterpillar in a cocoon waiting.

I changed my Facebook picture to this:

YUMMY books.
